What the calculators do with your inputs
Your income, expenses, filing status, state selection, and W-2 wage inputs are processed entirely client-side, in JavaScript running in your own browser. Nothing you type into any calculator on this site is sent to a server, logged, or stored — it exists only in your browser's memory for as long as the page is open. Refreshing the page clears it.
Downloaded images
The "Download my tax breakdown" button generates a PNG file directly in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and saves it to your device. By default, this image shows percentages and rates only — no dollar income figures — unless you explicitly check "include my dollar amounts" first. No image is uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
Analytics
This site does not use cookie-based tracking or third-party advertising trackers. If basic, aggregate, no-cookie page-view analytics are added in the future (for example, to see which calculators are useful), they will not collect personal data, will not use cookies, and will not track you across other websites.
Outbound links
Links to Gumroad (archienovember.gumroad.com) and Medium (medium.com) take you to separate websites with their own privacy policies. This site does not have access to your payment information, name, or address when you purchase a template — that transaction happens entirely on Gumroad's platform.
